A project of URJC in Humanities and Social Science selected as one of the best by the CSIC Foundation

The work entitled ‘Connecting Smart Cities and their heritage through Augmented Reality’ was carried out jointly by researchers from URJC and from the University of Alcalá (UAH). The aim of the project is to connect the digital resources of knowledge with the historical and cultural heritage of the cities in order to place value on and preserve their historical, biological and cultural heritage of the first order (woodlands, gardens, agricultural spaces, urban areas and palaces). For this purpose, traditional historical research and new technologies are used in an innovative manner: through augmented reality and cartoons.
