La URJC ha participado en un estudio que ha evaluado el efecto de un programa de entrenamiento de fuerza con sobrecargas de intensidad moderada-alta en el que se incluyeron una serie de estrategias motivacionales. Uno de los objetivos de la investigación ha sido analizar qué factores son determinantes para conseguir una adhesión a la práctica regular de actividades físicas y deportivas.
Del 5 al 18 de febrero se mostrará, a través de una exposición fotográfica online, el destacado papel de algunas investigadoras que lideran proyectos internacionales. Además, más de 40 científicas de diferentes áreas de conocimiento visitarán centros educativos para compartir sus experiencias con alumnos de primaria y secundaria.

Un equipo internacional, liderado por un investigador de la URJC, ha identificado una lista de unas quinientas especies de bacterias dominantes que pueden encontrarse en suelos de todo el mundo. El estudio, publicado hoy en la prestigiosa revista Science, abre la puerta a nuevas investigaciones centradas en el estudio y manipulación de las especies más abundantes con el fin de mejorar la fertilidad del suelo y aumentar su producción agrícola.
Este encuentro ha sido el primero donde todos los socios han podido demostrar las diferentes herramientas que conforman el proyecto europeo ElasTest de una forma integrada. El objetivo principal de proyecto es ofrecer una plataforma de código abierto (open source) para la ejecución de pruebas extremo a extremo (end-to-end) de forma rápida y fiable, incrementando la eficiencia y efectividad del proceso de pruebas de software y la calidad del sistema que se está probando.
La técnica se basa en el empleo de la cartografía de vegetación y usos del suelo. Los resultados obtenidos destacan la importancia de aumentar el área de bosque en zonas agrícolas o alto componente urbano para aumentar la diversidad del paisaje.

A través programa operativo de Empleo juvenil (YEI), financiado por la Comunidad de Madrid, la URJC convoca desde mañana, 19 de diciembre, 48 plazas para investigadores predoctorales y 5 para postdoctorales. Los beneficiarios trabajarán en distintos grupos de investigación de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
