Foreign Identification Number (NIE)

Foreign students who come to Spain have an endorsed study which lasts 90 days. They should ask for their NIE (Foreign Identification number). Steps to follow:

• Dial 902 56 57 01, when the voice mail ends, dial number 2 and wait for personal attention.

• They will ask you the following information: Name, passport number, nationality, mobile phone number.

• Book a date to present the documents.

• Go to www.consultacita.com, write your passport number and mobile phone. Then print the paper with your personal details and date of appointment.

It is advisable to make an appointment as soon as possible.

The following documents are required to apply for NIE: a valid passport, three passport photographs, Spain’s visa, Letter of admission from the University and a receipt of payment or scholarship.
