Music

The URJC Music Workshop

Are you passionate about music? The URJC Music Workshop programs concerts and recitals. It also encourages the University Community Members to participate in music ensembles.

The Rey Juan Carlos University Choir

You don’t need to be musically literate to sing in a Choir. Go for it and participate. The members of the choir are University Staff and students alike and we rehearse twice a week at the Mostoles Campus.

The Choir participates in the major academic ceremonies of the University. The choir sometimes accompanied by the Orchestra has performed in emblematic places such as the National Auditory of Madrid, the “Almudena” cathedral, the “de las Calatravas” church, The Saint Michaels’ pontifical Basilica and the Royal Basilica of Our Lady of Atocha. We’ve also offered performances in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, the UK, Italy, Portugal, Morocco and Turkey.

The Rey Juan Carlos University Symphony Orchestra

The Orchestra is composed of String, brass, woodwind and percussion musicians, ( Violins I, Violins II, Viola, Violoncello, flute, oboe, clarinet and French horn, and rehearses once a week at the Mostoles Campus.

We have given concerts at the National Auditory of Madrid as well as at the most important theaters of the Community of Madrid. We’ve also given concerts in different Spanish cities, such as Zamora, Altea and on several locations in La Rioja.
